Frequently Asked Questions and Answers
Where do Pendolino trains go to?
High-speed 680 series trains, called Pendolinos, are used for trains in the SuperCity category on two lines – the northern line (SC Pendolino connection) between Prague and Ostrava and on the southern line (SC connection) between Prague and Bratislava.
What fare is valid on Pendolino trains?
SuperCity category connections are required reservation trains, and therefore it is necessary to purchase a reservation for the selected SuperCity connection in addition to travel documents (or a card for free transport). The price of an SC reservation in inland transport is CZK 200, or CZK 100 for holders of the RailPlus discount. In inland transport it is possible to use all types of fares and discounts including the special SporoTiket contingent offer for travel on SC trains. In international transport to Slovakia, passengers are ticketed with a standard international ticket plus the price of an SC reservation (EUR 3 for RailPlus cardholders or EUR 7 otherwise). When travelling to Slovakia, you can get an SC reservation for CZK 0 – more information.
Can I use the KMB pre-paid pass for SuperCity trains?
All ticket types (e.g. tickets with a return discount, network tickets, the ČD kilometric bank, etc.) or cards for free transport can be used for travel on SuperCity trains. With these tickets or cards, however, passengers must purchase an SC reservation for the selected connection for CZK 200, or CZK 100 for holders of the RailPlus discount. Are there any discounts for SuperCity trains?
All ČD offers and cards for free transport can be used on SuperCity trains, provided the passenger purchases an SC reservation for the selected connection to use in combination with the ticket or card.
Can I travel on a SuperCity train using a SporoTiket ticket?
Yes. The attractive SporoTiket interregional ticket can also be used for travel on SuperCity trains. Along with the ticket, however, it is necessary to purchase an SC reservation for CZK 200 or CZK 100 (if you have an In-karta card with the RailPlus discount).

How is it with wheelchair passengers and their companions?
Two places are reserved in the 2nd class Number 4 carriage for passengers in wheelchairs. There is also a WC in the carriage that has been adapted for wheelchair users. The entire train is barrier-free, so passengers in wheelchairs can move about the train without problems and maybe visit the bistro in the neighbouring carriage. Entering the train is carried out with the assistance of a lift platform that is placed at all stations where the SuperCity stops. For problem-free boarding, it is best to inform the departure and destination stations about the intended travel. In the reservation system there are also two seats next to the wheelchair spaces for companions who may also be travelling.
