ČD Transported Václav Havel’s Decorations on an SC Pendolino Connection to Ostrava

The official photographs of the complete collection of the domestic and foreign decorations received by former Czech President Václav Havel were taken in the studio of artistic photographer Jaroslav Kubík. Václav Havel came up with an original solution to transporting the whole collection to Ostrava quickly and safely. He transported them in cooperation with ČD by Pendolino train from Prague to Ostrava. The photographs of the decorations were part of an exhibition on former President Václav Havel.
The shipment of Václav Havel’s decorations to Ostrava thus ranked alongside non-traditional transports for which SC Pendolino connections have been the best way of securing the journey between Prague and Ostrava.
SC Pendolino connections are also used regularly by various personalities of the domestic and foreign artistic scene, politicians, top athletes and others. Among the passengers who have travelled on SC Pendolino connections are, for, example, President Václav Klaus, Prime Minister Jiří Paroubek, Olympian Aleš Valenta, the group Kryštof and other celebrities. Many of these and other personalities use SC Pendolino connections for regular travel between Prague and Ostrava.
