The World’s Fastest Men Met with Fans aboard the Pendolino
Passengers aboard the regular SuperCity connection between Prague and Brno today met personally with Emerson Fittipaldi, Tomáš Enge and other racers.
Other racers rode the Pendolino as well – Alan Jones, John Watson, Jan Lammers, Erik Janiš and Jan Charouz. The world aces of auto sport met before 8 a.m. at Holešovice Station, and all the passengers on the train had the opportunity to get an autograph, pose for a picture, or just get to know the racers. Pendolino carried racers for the Formula A1GP series, which will start tomorrow and will run through 14 October at Brno’s Automotodrom.
“I’m excited. I’ve never had a chance to compare the cockpit of a formula race car and that of a high-speed train – it’s a wonderful experience for me,” commented Emerson Fittipaldi, and Tomáš Enge added: “Connecting our fastest train with the drivers of the fastest cars was great! I was surprised how many passengers bought tickets for the Pendolino because of this meeting.”
