TeleTiket – buying tickets by phone
TeleTiket is a Czech Railways offer that allows passengers to purchase tickets over the telephone regardless of the passenger's location – whether on a train, at an airport, in a taxi, abroad or at home. All you need is a telephone and a payment card. TeleTikets can be purchased for all SC, EC, IC, Ex and R trains operating inside the Czech Republic. TeleTiket further allows passengers to purchase tickets under special travel packages for selected cities in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia and tickets for selected night-train services to Slovakia. Seat reservations are included in the price of a ticket for all train categories except for SC Pendolino trains. Seats on the SC 18/19 train connection "Slovenská strela" can be booked from and to destination stations in Slovakia (Bratislava).
The telephone ticketing service is intended for those who know their date of travel, or who have to leave for an unplanned trip to Ostrava, Brno, Prague or elsewhere and do not want to risk a sold-out connection. It is also intended for those who do not have time to access the internet during a busy workday and need, for example, to book a return ticket. Tickets can be purchased from anywhere using a mobile phone or land line and a MasterCard, Visa, Diners Club or American Express payment card.
Purchasing a ticket is very simple and comfortable. First you call the Czech Railways Contact Centre on 840 112 113. When calling from abroad, you need to dial the country code +420. Then select to purchase a ticket and make your reservation with the help of an operator. ![]()
The operator will make the reservation based on the data provided, confirm the exact time and place of departure and arrival, and inform the passenger about the basic terms and conditions for transport and refund claims. The operator will also ask the passenger where he/she sould like to pick up the ticket – via email or at the train station's TeleTiket office prior to boarding (tickets can be picked up in person at railway stations listed on the attached list). The operator then confirms with the passenger the price of the ticket and asks the passenger for payment card details to complete the transaction through a payment terminal. Once the transaction is confirmed, the operator will repeat the basic purchase information and will confirm that the ticket will be prepared for pick-up or delivered.
If you request that your ticket be sent to your email address, all you need to do is to print it out and board the train without having to stop at the ticket office. Otherwise the ticket will be prepared for pick-up at one of the TeleTiket offices listed below. It is even possible to pick up the ticket at the TeleTiket office shortly prior to departure.

Tickets can be purchased by persons other than those who will travel. For example, an assistant can buy a ticket for the company director using a corporate payment card with his/her name on it.
Telephone ticketing is free of charge service.
