Airport Express to Prague’s Ruzyně airport

+ zvětšitThe AIRPORT EXPRESS (AE) provides direct connections to air, rail and Prague’s public transit. Buses marked AE (AIRPORT EXPRESS) connect the Praha hl.n. train station with Prague’s Ruzyně airport. Line AE mainly provides connecting transport to the airport for passengers who arrive in Prague on SuperCity connections. It is also available, however, for use by passengers arriving on other connections.

The AE bus line is operated daily from around 5:00 to 22:00 at regular 30 minute intervals. Only low-floored buses are used, enabling easy entrance and enough space for storing luggage.

AIRPORT EXPRESS Bus Stops

Main station (Praha hl.n., stop B1)
The stop is in Wilsonova Street (the main artery in the direction of Florenc) right in front of the Fanta building (the old station building).

Masaryk station (Praha Masarykovo nádraží)
Disembarking stop in the direction from the airport in Hybernská Street just past the intersection with Dlážděná Street.

Dejvická
The stop is located at the public transit terminal at the metro station entrance.

Prague Ruzyně Airport - Terminal Sever 1 (North 1)
The stop is located at the city public transit terminal in front of the check-in hall for Prague Ruzyně Airport’s Terminal 1. Terminal 1 is intended for flights to countries outside the Schengen Agreement.

Prague Ruzyně Airport - Terminal Sever 2 (North 2)
The stop is located at the city public transit terminal in front of the check-in hall for Prague Ruzyně Airport’s Terminal 2. Terminal 2 is intended for flights to countries in the Schengen Agreement.

With the Vlak+ Prague Airport ticket we will transport you in comfort all the way to the airport and back home after your return from abroad, all for the price of a one-way ticket. Just purchase a return Vlak+ Prague Airport ticket for 2nd class travel to the destination station .Praha letiště (NAD) for the price of a regular one-way 2nd class ticket and transfer to the Airport Express (AE) bus line at Prague Main Station (Praha hl.n.). In just half an hour you will be at the airport in front of Terminals 1 and 2.

Definitely don’t throw your train ticket away. If after your arrival from abroad you have it stamped at any Prague Airport information desk, you will be able to use it to travel back home on the Airport Express line and then by train to the station specified on your ticket as the boarding station, free of charge.

Tickets valid on AIRPORT EXPRESS Bus Line

To use the AE bus line, you can check in in the following ways:

  • Tickets for a fare per the ČD TR 10 Tariff issued to / from the station Praha letiště (NAD) including a valid entry in a kilometric bank or certain network tickets are valid on ČD trains. Tickets to / from the station Praha letiště can be purchased at a ticket counter. Selected travel documents can be purchased online on www.eshop.cd.cz or by phone using the TeleTiket service on 840 112 113. For journeys from the airport you can use advance ticket sales up to 60 days prior to travel.
  • The ČD Net open ticket in the direction from the station Praha letiště (NAD) on connections departing at 14:00 and later is valid on the AE connection even without the validity date filled in.
  • In addition to ČD travel documents, certain other rail travel documents issued overseas are also valid on the AE line.
  • From line AE drivers it is only possible to purchase a non-transferable one-off ticket valid only for line AE. The price is CZK 50 (children 6 – 15 years of age for CZK 25).
  • Children up to 6 years of age travel for free.
  • Travel documents purchased at a ČD ticket window must be presented to the bus driver for inspection upon boarding.
  • The transport of luggage is free of charge on line AE. It is also possible to transport a bicycle free of charge, provided it is packed for air transport.

It is only possible to board the bus through the front doors, and passengers must either present their ticket for inspection by the driver or purchase a ticket from the driver.

Note: Neither regular single-ride PID tickets nor PID prepaid passes valid in Prague (so-called “Prague tram passes”) can be used on the AE bus line for individual trips.
