The President of the Czech Republic with his wife arrived on 29 March 2006 by Czech Railways´ SC Pendolino train on his official three-day visit to the Moravian-Silesian Region.
”When we were planning a visit to the Moravian-Silesian Region, we decided to prefer comfortable travel by Czech Railways´ SC Pendolino train to a long automobile journey. I recommend this train connection to everybody who commutes between Prague and Ostrava – time spent on the way and comfort is fully comparable to the air connection. Pendolino trains deserve to be spoken about as a reliable and comfortable train connection“, the President Václav Klaus said after arrival at Ostrava Svinov railway station.
