ČD Transported the Group Čechomor on the Pendolino
On Thursday, 17 August 2006, Czech music group Čechomor took connection SC 507 from Prague’s Holešovice Station to Ostrava-Svinov. Passengers had an opportunity to meet with all the members of Čechomor during the journey as well as after their arrival at Ostrava-Svinov.
Everyone who purchased a valid ticket and reservation for connection SC 507 departing 17 August 2006 at 13:56 from Praha-Holešovice, from Pardubice hl. n. or from Olomouc hl. n. could meet the group Čechomor on board the train, in the bistro carriage. The group travelled to Ostrava and continued on to Slovakia for a concert in Piešťany. Ostrava fans also had the opportunity to get the autographs of Čechomor members at an autograph session that took place immediately after this train’s arrival at Ostrava-Svinov.
ČD became one of the partners of this year’s Čechomor tour, Krušovice Vlak tour, which was unique especially in its exceptional form of concert performances. The whole group travelled with their train around the Czech Republic and held non-traditional performances at railway stations in selected cities. The special train, pulled by a locomotive bearing the name Čechomor, served as a dining, sleeping and concert vehicle for the group. For each of the concerts, a freight wagon served as the base for a covert podium. The project travelled to six cities in August 2007.
