Airport express to Praha-Ruzyně airport
AIRPORT EXPRESS (AE) bus line ensures a direct link of air transport, railway transport and Prague mass urban transport. Buses marked with AE (AIRPORT EXPRESS) link Praha-Holešovice railway station and Praha-Ruzyně airport. Using the underground line C between the stations of Hlavní nádraží and Nádraží Holešovice, the railway station Praha hlavní nádraží is linked to the new bus line too.
AE bus line ensures especially follow-up transport of passengers, who arrive at Praha- Holešovice railway station by SC Pendolino trains, to the airport. However, it may also be used by passengers, who arrive at Praha-Holešovice railway station by other trains as well as by passengers, using the underground line C, whose trains arrive at Praha hlavní nádraží railway station. The bus line may certainly be used on a counter journey, i.e. from the airport to the Prague railway stations.
AE bus line is operated daily from about 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. in regular intervals of 30 minutes. Low-floor buses ensuring easy accession and sufficient storage space for baggage are exclusively put into operation on this line.
Stops of AIRPORT EXPRESS bus line
Praha-Holešovice railway station:
The stop is situated on the left side of station building in the bus terminal of long-distance transport. The way to the bus stop is marked with direction indicators.
Dejvická
The stop is situated in the terminal of urban transport at the exit from the underground station.
Ruzyně airport - Sever 1 (North 1) Terminal:
The stop is situated in the terminal of urban transport in front of the passenger terminal of Praha-Ruzyně airport Sever 1 Terminal.
Ruzyně airport - Sever 2 (North 2) Terminal:
The stop is situated in the terminal of urban transport in front of the passenger terminal of Praha-Ruzyně airport Sever 2 Terminal.
Tickets valid on AIRPORT EXPRESS buses
When using AE bus line, your check-in can be realized in one of the following ways:
- By ČD one-way ticket at full or special SuperCity 1st or 2nd Class fare, issued to/from Praha letiště station (NAD). Those passengers submit the ČD ticket to AE driver to check that, they do not buy any other document.
- By ČD one-way ticket at full, special or customer 1st Class fare issued to/from Praha letiště station (NAD). Tickets to the tariff point of Praha letiště (NAD) can be bought by passengers in the same way as other ČD tickets, i.e. at booking offices at railway stations all over the Czech Republic (eventually from conductor on train). Those passengers submit the ČD ticket to AE driver to check that, they do not buy any other document.
- By ČD´s commercial offer of commutation ticket, issued for the 1st or 2nd Class, indicating to/from Praha letiště station (NAD). Those passengers submit the ČD ticket to AE driver to check that, they do not buy any other document.
- By an international travel document issued abroad - European East Pass, Austria & Czech Rail Pass and Czech Flexipass. Those passengers submit the above-mentioned ticket bought abroad to AE driver to check that, they do not buy any other document.
- Buying a ticket right from AE driver. Price of the ticket for AIRPORT EXPRESS amounts to CZK 45, eventually 25 for children at the age of 6 – 15. The ticket is not a transfer and can be used for one trip by the AE bus only.
- When getting onto the bus at Ruzyně airport, passengers with ČSA bills of credit (air tickets) for Praha – Pardubice – Olomouc – Ostrava SC Pendolino trains (flights OK 4000 – OK 4011) submit the bill (an appropriate part of the air ticket) to AE driver, who will punch it. The bill punched in such a way is the basis for check-in at ČD booking office or by conductor on SC Pendolino train.
- Children up to the age of 6, under terms and conditions stated in ČD TR 10 tariff and the PID (Prague Integrated Transport) tariff, and Members and Senators of the Parliament of the CR, judges of the Constitutional Court of the CR and Members of the European Parliament elected on the territory of the CR are transported by AE buses free of charge.
- Carriage of baggage on AE buses is free of charge.
The bus can be entered through the front door only, passengers shall submit travel documents to driver to check them, or they shall buy a ticket from driver.
Warning: Nor the PID ordinary tickets for individual trips neither the PID season tickets valid on the territory of Prague can be used on the AE bus line.

Use of the Prague underground line C between the stations Hlavní nádraží – Nádraží Holešovice
ČD tickets, except for commutation tickets and railway tickets bought abroad, valid on AE bus line, can be used by passengers in an appropriate direction in the section of Hlavní nádraží – Nádraží Holešovice of the Prague underground line C. When controlled, passenger submits ČD ticket to controller to check that.
